Rules & Regulations
Student Behavior
In order to ensure a camp experience that is fun, safe, and memorable for everyone, please review these with your child prior to beginning your session. Camp CEOS staff will review expectations daily.
- Respect for Others: Camp CEOS is a place of respect. All campers are expected to treat fellow campers, counselors, and staff with kindness, empathy, and respect. This includes refraining from bullying, teasing, or excluding others.
- Responsibility: We encourage students to take responsibility for their actions, belongings, and the environment around them. This includes cleaning up after themselves, following camp rules, and completing assigned tasks or activities.
- Cooperation and Teamwork: We stress the value of working together as a team and being cooperative during group activities, games, and projects. We encourage students to listen to others, share ideas, and compromise when necessary.
- Safety First: Campers need to understand the importance of following safety guidelines and rules to ensure everyone’s well-being. This includes staying within designated areas, using equipment properly, and reporting any hazards or concerns to camp staff.
- Positive Attitude: We encourage students to approach each day with a positive attitude and open-mindedness. We foster an atmosphere where students feel comfortable by trying new things, accepting challenges, and supporting one another.
- Attendance and Punctuality: We stress the importance of arriving on time for scheduled activities and being present for all camp sessions. Campers who are regularly tardy or absent will miss out on activities and learning.
- Respect for Property: We expect students to respect camp facilities, equipment, and personal belongings of others. We highly discourage vandalism, theft, or any other actions that could damage property. Campers who engage in this type of behavior will be charged to replace or repair anything damaged or destroyed.
- Communication: We encourage open and respectful communication between students, counselors, and staff. Let your child know they can approach staff members with any questions, concerns, or problems they may have.
- Digital Citizenship: Campers will be using technology daily and will be expected to use the technology appropriately and with respect.
- Consequences: Students are expected to abide by the rules and expectations of Camp CEOS. While all staff are committed to supporting each and every camper, if a student consistently exhibits behavior that is contrary to the camp’s rules and/or engages in behavior that is deemed egregious, there will be consequences including warnings, loss of privileges, or dismissal from the camp, depending on the severity of the behavior. Refunds will not be given for dismissal.
Parent Behavior
Camp CEOS values the positive influence parents have on their campers and emphasizes the importance of parental cooperation in fulfilling its mission. Parents are required to endorse all policies, rules, and regulations, and are expected to interact respectfully with members of Camp CEOS community, including staff and contracted vendors, whether on-site or off-site. Any parent behavior deemed unacceptable, such as undermining camp policies or harassing staff, may lead to the non-renewal or termination of the camper’s enrollment, with no refunds provided under such circumstances.
Absences
If your child is going to be absent, please call the office at (626)601-5097 by 7:30 am or email us at [email protected]. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate any makeup days.
Friend Request & Guests
Upon enrollment, campers are assigned to groups. If your camper wishes to be grouped with a friend, this request must be submitted during registration, with both campers listing each other. While friend requests are not guaranteed, we strive to accommodate them (limited to 1 friend request). As our camp is expected to reach full enrollment, campers are not permitted to bring guests.S
